Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in providing voluntary services to CCEAI AFRICA. Our volunteers are highly valued individuals who play a critical role in advancing our climate action and environmental conservation initiatives. Volunteers often contribute to impactful activities such as environmental monitoring, climate data collection, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity surveys, community awareness campaigns, and other conservation-focused field and desk-based programs. We encourage you to regularly check for upcoming volunteer opportunities.

The CCEAI AFRICA Volunteer Programme offers passionate and qualified individuals the opportunity to work alongside our dynamic team at both the secretariat and in field locations. Through this programme, volunteers gain hands-on experience while supporting our mission of promoting climate resilience, environmental protection, sustainable natural resource management, and community-driven conservation solutions across Africa.

As a volunteer at CCEAI AFRICA, you will contribute directly to meaningful environmental impact. Assignments may include climate research support, environmental education and outreach, tree growing initiatives, wetland and ecosystem conservation, wildlife and habitat monitoring, policy advocacy support, and participation in climate action campaigns.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The CCEAI AFRICA Internship Programme offers eligible/qualified students at both the Secretariat and field offices the opportunity to acquire direct practical experience in CCEAI AFRICA’s work under the direct supervision of experienced NatureUganda staff.

  • You must be enrolled during the proposed internship period.
  • Your academic performance should be excellent, as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
  • Your application for an internship should be supported by your university or related institution. A minimum requirement is a letter from one of your lecturers/professors supporting your application.
  • Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in the field of conservation or natural resource management.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a multi-cultural setting. Additional consideration can be given for any past participation in CCEAI AFRICA’s membership events and prior membership to CCEAI AFRICA.
